In an effort to keep things fresh at Rinse Magazine, we've taken a different approach with the release of our next issue (RNS010). The February/March 2004 issue carries all the same usual features inside, but with a Toronto twist.
New record labels are starting up all over North America and is showcasing the emerging talent of our local producers. Toronto is no exception to that rule and this issue's cover story features a new record label out of Toronto: Version Recordings (composed of Outlook, Lucid, Da Gremlinz, and label-boss, Stranjah).
Other Toronto features in RNS010 include interviews with Ryan Ruckus and Canada's newest breaks label, Pure Phunk Recordings. There is also an exclusive profile on Toronto that traces back through the city's long-standing drum and bass history.
Also featured in RNS010 are interviews with NYC's Datcyde, Arizona's Vector Burn and the UK's Critical Recordings. We've also polled 17 dnb artists from across the globe to find out what they thought were the Top Tens for 2003. Expect guest music reviews from Basic Operations (representing the dnb front) and DJ D-Monic of Pure Phunk Recordings (representing the breaks front). And last but not least, check our hardware technology review of the powerful, all-in-one production studio: the Roland's MV-800.
